WHAT: Join MALT and Mittelman Observatory staff to view one of the oldest known meteor showers! Catherine Miller, the observatory specialist at Middlebury College, and her team of student employees will guide us in a watch party to observe the Lyrid Meteor Shower, an annual meteor shower named for its proximity to the constellation Lyra. Equipment such as binoculars and telescopes will be available for viewing star clusters, galaxies, planets, and more. Come observe this fascinating natural phenomenon with Middlebury College’s knowledgeable observatory staff!

CANCELLATION POLICY: MALT operates programs outdoors in a variety of weather conditions. If weather conditions are hazardous (lightning, sustained winds >30m.p.h.), MALT may cancel the program. If that is the case, you will receive notification via email.
