Meet a Kestrel! With VINS and Middlebury-Area Vermont Master Naturalist

WHO: This event is appropriate for families and people of all ages interested in learning about Kestrels and how to support their population in Addison County.

WHAT: Meet North America’s smallest falcon, the kestrel. Kestrel populations are declining nationwide; one likely reason may be a lack of suitable nest sites. Learn how you can help by installing a nest box and/or becoming a Nest Box Monitor. Join VINS educators, to learn about this colorful, year-round VT resident and meet one in person! Learn how you can help by installing a nest box and/or becoming a Nest Box Monitor. Middlebury-Area Vermont Master Naturalists are teaming with VINS to increase the number of boxes in Addison County (prime kestrel habitat!) and collecting data on breeding pair usage and fledging success.

CANCELLATION POLICY: MALT operates programs outdoors in a variety of weather conditions. If weather conditions are hazardous (lightning, sustained winds >30m.p.h.), MALT may cancel the program. If that is the case, you will receive notification via email.
